Kindly Esek Gladstone is loved by almost everyone, serving as a church deacon and dedicating his life to charity work . . . but he hates Halloween, seeing it as a festival honoring nothing except darkness. But on Halloween Night, forewarned by the Spirit of his deceased mentor, he must face the temptations of three devils, taking a voyage across the Halloweens of his life to be challenged with his own lusts, his greed, and that most subtle of vices, his pride.
A Halloween Hymn is a direct adaptation which inverses the events of Charles Dickens’ famous A Christmas Carol to correspond with the modern American holiday of Halloween. It is a fanciful ode to that seasonal favorite, while at the same time taking a unique journey into the struggles of good and evil that wage within the hearts of men.

This whimsical approach to the darker side of the imagination has been part of a seasonal experience for families throughout the United States every Autumn.
The book is more than a literary adaptation of the Dickens original.
